The Tortured Poets Department: Matty Healy hasn’t heard Taylor Swift’s new album

Matty Healy has said that he hasn’t heard Taylor Swift’s latest album “The Tortured Poets Department.”

Healy made the comments while answering questions from paparazzi in Los Angeles who asked the lead singer for “The 1975” to “rate” the “diss track” dedicated to him.

In a video shared by ET, Healy appeared shocked and responded, “My diss track? Oh! I haven’t heard that much, but I’m sure it’s good.”

In the album’s title track, “Tortured Poet’s Department,” Swift’s lyrics mention her partner smoking and then eating “seven bars of chocolate,” which could be a reference to The 1975 hit “Chocolate.” She also describes him as a “tattooed gold digger,” which parallels Healy’s heavily tattooed appearance. According to Elle, Taylor and Matty were first spotted together on May 11, 2023, in New York, where they were seen kissing and holding hands. In June of the same year, TMZ reported that they had broken up.

Healy’s aunt, Debbie Dedes, also shared her thoughts on her nephew’s inspirational music on Swift’s double album.
