Britney Spears ‘home and safe’ after paramedics respond to incident at Chateau Marmont, sources say

Britney Spears is “home and safe” after a “huge fight” with her boyfriend Wednesday night at the Chateau Marmont in West Hollywood, a source close to the singer told CNN.

Paramedics were called to the hotel, but Spears left with her security team, according to the source.

A rep for Spears did not respond to CNN’s request for comment.

CNN has reached out to the Chateau Marmont and first responders for additional information.

Later on Thursday, Spears posted a slide of text to her verified Instagram, where she wrote that “the news is fake!”

“I want to be respected at this time,” he added, later writing that he twisted his ankle the night before and that “paramedics showed up at my door illegally.”

“They never came into my room but I felt really (sic) harassed,” Spears wrote. “I’m moving to Boston!!! peace”

In a subsequent post, Spears shared a video on Instagram, showing what appeared to be her swollen ankle. He stated that he twisted his ankle the night before when he was “doing a jump in the living room at the Chateau and I fell, embarrassed myself and that was it.”

Spears said, “Paramedics came to my door illegally, of course, causing this huge incident, which was completely unnecessary and all I needed was ice.”

In the same post, Spears also shared a photo of her lawyer, Mathew Rosengart.

“This guy is amazing!!! He is like a father to me and he helped me yesterday!!! I adore you and admire you Mathew sir !!!,” her caption read in part.

Last week, Spears settled her long-running legal dispute with her father, Jamie Spears, over payments related to her conservatorship, which she had been under for 13 years. After testifying about the “abusive” conditions he said he endured throughout the legal arrangement, the court terminated the conservatorship in November 2021.

“It is our honor and privilege to represent, protect and defend Britney Spears,” Rosengart said in a statement to CNN last week. “Ms. Spears is and always will be a brilliant and courageous icon and artist of historic and epic proportions. Although the conservatorship was terminated in November 2021, her desire for freedom is now truly complete. As she wished, her freedom now includes her not having to yet attend or engage with the court in this matter.”
