Microsoft brings keyboard, mouse support to Xbox Cloud Gaming titles
Microsoft has finally decided to bring keyboard and mouse (KBM) support to select Cloud Gaming titles. The company has already started testing the Alpha Skip-Ahead View KBM functionality on web browsers (Edge and Chrome) and the Xbox PC app.
To try out KBM support, users need to be Game Pass Ultimate subscribers and also enrolled in the PC Game Preview program. If testing the feature through a web browser, users will be required to turn on the Preview feature.
Some games may still display the controller on the screen, but when the user starts using KBM, the game will switch to its interface after moving the cursor or pressing a button. On the browser, KBM will only work when playing in full screen mode and you must click on the game stream mode to recognize mouse input.
Xbox Cloud Gaming titles to get KBM support are, Fortnite (browser only), Ark Survival Evolved, Sea of Thieves, Grounded, Halo Infinite, Atomic Heart, Sniper Elite 5, Deep Rock Galactic, High on Life, Zombie Army 4 Dead War, Tactics Gears, Pentimen, Doom 64 and Age of Empires 2. Fortnite (browser only), Ark Survival Evolved, Sea of Thieves, Grounded, Halo Infinite, Atomic Heart, Sniper Elite 5, Deep Rock Galactic, High on Life, Zombie Army 4 Dead War, Gears Tactics, Pentiment, Doom 64 and Age of Empires 2.
