Melissa McCarthy is excited Barbra Streisand knows she exists

Melissa McCarthy remains a proud fan of Barbra Streisand.

The Oscar-nominated actress was completely unfazed by the comment Streisand left on her Instagram where the legendary singer asked McCarthy if she was on Ozempic. In fact, he took it as a compliment.

McCarthy shared her response on Instagram late Tuesday, holding up a magazine with a vintage photo of Streisand on the cover. She captioned the post, “@barbrastreisand fan club members only!!!”

“The bottom line is that Barbra Streisand knows I exist. He called me and he thought I looked good!” McCarthy said in a short video.

“I won today,” he added.

McCarthy’s post came after Streisand wrote and then deleted her question to McCarthy about the weight loss drug.

Streisand commented on his comments, saying she first opened her Instagram to see a photo of the “beautiful flowers” she received for her birthday last week.

“Below them is a photo of my friend Melissa McCarthy who I sang with on my Encore album,” he wrote. “She looks great! I just want to give him credit. I forgot the world was reading!”

Their mutual admiration remains.
