Dua Lipa hands off ‘Saturday Night Live’ running errands to Chloe Fineman in a fun new promo

Pop star Dua Lipa is getting ready to pull double duty as “Saturday Night Live” host and musical guest this week, with a little help from cast member Chloe Fineman.

In a new promo clip for the upcoming episode, Fineman shows the Grammy winner a “new effect” he’s been practicing. The “SNL” cast member — known for her incredible effects — kept dancing awkwardly while singing her interpretation of a verse from Lipa’s 2020 hit “Levitating,” but the lyrics were all wrong.

Lipa asked who the impression was supposed to be parodying, to which Fineman replied, “You!” The singer then suggested that Fineman might work on his dance moves to refine them.

Next, Fineman’s tap dancing, which leaves Lipa even more unimpressed – with hilarious effect.

After the singer changed Fineman’s entire “look” to include a dark red wig similar to her own signature hair, the pair felt more confident… even though Fineman kept singing the wrong lyrics.

“Ok, it’s close enough. You’ll do it, kid,” Lipa told a panicked and confused Fineman. “Wait what?” the latter asked.

“I’m just going to focus on my sketch so I thought maybe you could, you know, do the show for me. I’m going to go get dinner,” said Lipa, who handed the microphone to Fineman and left him alone on stage.

Lipa served as host and musical guest on this week’s episode of the long-running sketch show, marking the first time she will host “SNL” after previously appearing as a musical guest in 2018 and 2020.

His new album “Radical Optimism” is set for release on Friday.
