Iran’s president made no mention of the Israeli attack while praising the attack the previous weekend
Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi made no mention of Friday’s (local time) Israeli attack on Iran, while publicly praising Iran’s unprecedented military operation last weekend targeting “Israeli-occupied territory.”
Iran’s retaliatory strike on April 13, part of the so-called “True Promise” operation, was a display of Iran’s military strength and necessary action against what Raisi called an “illegitimate regime,” he said Friday.
Raisi described the attack as “retaliation” by the Iranian Armed Forces, intended to demonstrate Iran’s power and the determination of its people.
Remember: The April 1 attack on the Iranian embassy compound in Damascus demolished a building and left several people dead, including two high-ranking generals.
Israel and the United States have said that Iran’s lob of about 300 missiles had very little material impact and caused only one injury.
