“Kalki 2898 AD” movie poster unveiled: Prabhas, Amitabh Bachchan and Deepika Padukone to star
The official release date announcement for “Kalki 2989 AD” is finally here, generating excitement among fans.
The film was shot mainly in Telugu with some scenes re-shot in Hindi.
Kalki 2898 AD is an upcoming 2024 Indian epic science fiction dystopian film, co-written and directed by Nag Ashwin.
Inspired by Hindu mythology, the film is set in a post-apocalyptic world in 2898 AD. It stars Prabhas in the lead role along with Amitabh Bachchan, Kamal Haasan, Deepika Padukone and Disha Patani.
With the new poster unveiled on Instagram by the account “kalki2898ad”, the caption read, “All teams united for a better tomorrow.”
According to the film’s Wikipedia page, the film was first announced in February 2020, but production faced a one-year delay due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Filming finally began in July 2021 on a futuristic set in Ramoji Film City, Hyderabad, and took place sporadically in parts over the next three years before wrapping up in March 2024.
