Dozens of police cars surround the University of Southern California campus, video shows
Dozens of police cars lined the streets as a large group of officers swarmed the University of Southern California Saturday night, video from CNN affiliate KABC showed.
The Los Angeles Police Department issued a “tactical alert” Saturday amid pro-Palestinian protests at USC, CNN affiliate KCBS reported. No arrests had been reported as of early Sunday and it was unclear what prompted the action.
The university posted a message on social media Friday night saying the University Park campus would be temporarily closed due to a “disruption.”
USC has been the backdrop for demonstrations linked to the cancellation of the school’s valedictorian speech and as part of nationwide campus pro-Palestinian protests.
