Comedian Jack Whitehall has found himself the subject of good-natured royal ribbing.
Prince William, the heir to the British throne, jokingly described the Whitehall joker as “like dad” during a surprise visit to a West Midlands school.
The playful jab came when a group of students asked Prince for a “dad joke.” William quipped that he was “channeling” the comedian, who is known for his self-deprecating sense of humour.
In a light-hearted video, Whitehall responded to the Prince’s comments. His initial praise turned to mockery after hearing William’s classic “cow bother” joke. Whitehall jokingly muttered, “Gone are my knighthoods,” before comically writing the joke down for potential future use.
Prince William’s school visit was prompted by a student’s request to learn about their mental health campaign.
During the trip, the Prince joined children from St Michael’s Church of England School in Sandwell for the “dad jokes” segment of their radio show.
