Jordan conducts airdrops of aid to Gaza
Jordan has carried out an airdrop of humanitarian aid and assistance to Gaza on Tuesday, according to the Jordanian state news agency Petra.
The Jordanian Armed Forces conducted seven airdrops to several sites in northern Gaza, and said they would continue to send humanitarian and medical aid to Gaza via airdrops, ground convoys and via Marka airport in Amman to Egypt’s Al-Arish International Airport.
Jordan has conducted 87 airdrops into Gaza and participated in 209 international airdrops since October 7, according to Petra.
Petra reported that Tuesday’s aid drop was done jointly with the US, Egypt and Germany.
“Focus on Gaza:” As the tit-for-tat offensive between Israel and Iran appears to have concluded, Jordanian Foreign Minister Ayman Safadi told CNN, “The focus must remain on Gaza,” as the strip nears starvation.
