Apple launches new 13-inch, 15-inch MacBook Air with M3 chip

Apple has introduced the next-generation MacBook Air M3 range, in 13-inch and 15-inch sizes. With the M3 chip, the device will have faster CPU and GPU performance, an upgraded Neural Engine, and up to 2x faster Wi-Fi, along with the ability to connect to two external displays at the same time.

Available for pre-order, the new MacBook Air range will ship from March 8. The ability to connect to two external displays has been a long-awaited feature in laptops.

This feature comes with a small catch, not allowing the MacBook Air desktop to be connected to an external display without the laptop lid closed. If the cover is open, only one external display will work like the previous M1 and M2 models.

Dubbed “the world’s best consumer laptop for AI”, the M3 MacBook Air features a faster 8-core CPU combined with up to 10-core GPUs.

With a faster 16-core Neural Engine, and upgraded Wi-Fi 6E, the device will enable maximum theoretical download speeds that are twice as fast as the previous generation.

Just like the M2 model, this laptop has a thin bezel screen with a camera notch cutout, and a flat-edged chassis. Available in midnight, starlight, space gray and silver, with an anodized seal to reduce visible fingerprints on Midnight Colors.
