Slayer returns to Guilty Gear Strive for the next season
The vampire dandy, the Slayer, is set to return to the stage in the fighting video game Guilty Gear Strive.
At Evo Japan 2024, Arc System Works introduced Slayer as the final DLC character for Guilty Gear Strive Season 3 in a new trailer.
Slayer will join the roster on May 30 as part of the Season 3 Pass.
Having first appeared in 2002’s Guilty Gear XX, the Slayer has become a formidable presence in the series, although he missed out on recent developments in Strive.
As the former head of the Assassin’s Guild and the only known Nightless character until the appearance of Nagoriyuki, fans may find Slayer’s interactions with other characters, especially Nagoriyuki, interesting.
Known for her teleportation abilities and melee pressure tactics, the Slayer remains one of the most powerful characters in the Guilty Gear universe.
His playstyle in Guilty Gear Strive seems to echo this, with a focus on close combat and unpredictable movement.
The trailer showcases Slayer’s classic moves, suggesting that fans of the character will find him familiar. Additionally, there are many animations featuring his wife, Sharon.
The game released in 2021 is available to play on PC, Xbox and PS4/PS5.
