Six children were among 23 killed in Israeli airstrikes, a hospital in Rafah said
A total of 23 people were killed, including six children, in Israeli airstrikes on Rafah overnight, medical officials at a hospital in Rafah said in an update on Tuesday.
The Palestinian Civil Defense earlier said its forces had recovered bodies from several houses hit by Israeli aircraft in Rafah.
Israel has vowed to “put military pressure on Hamas” in Rafah, and control the city’s border with Egypt, after previously saying the terms of a ceasefire the Palestinian militant group responded to on Monday were “far from” meeting its demands.
