Sabrina Carpenter “worked late” in a Met Gala gown
Sabrina Carpenter wowed the audience in a floral-inspired Oscar de la Renta gown for the 2024 Met Gala.
The singer’s performance ensemble featured a black velvet bodice, complete with a voluminous blue satin skirt.
Carpenter took to Instagram to show off her look, with the caption, “I’m working late” — a lyric from her latest single, “Espresso,” that prompted the meme trend.
The post quickly went viral, with several users completing the lyrics. Pinterest’s official Instagram account also left a flattering comment on the post, “BECAUSE YOU EAT MET.”
The “Feather” singer was accompanied by her partner, actor Barry Keoghan, marking their red carpet debut as a couple.
Keoghan complimented his look in his sophisticated Burberry suit, which consisted of a tailored jacket in olive velvet, a classic black wool coat, a rolled silk poplin shirt and tailored trousers.
The “Saltburn” actor added the finishing touches with a black fur top hat and polished black leather oxford boots.
