Princeton said medical experts were monitoring a group of students on hunger strike
Princeton University officials are aware of a group of students who have gone on hunger strike “in solidarity with Gaza,” and told CNN medical experts are monitoring the group.
“We are concerned about their well-being,” Michael Hotchkiss, assistant vice president for communications at Princeton University, told CNN via email.
“Dr. Melissa Marks, director of medical services at University Health Services, visits the group on Friday and Sunday to offer ongoing health information and medical support. He has also spoken to one of the outside doctors monitoring the group.”
The university has been in contact with protest organizers and is willing to meet with students, Hotchkiss said.
“We continue to hope that productive conversations will take place in the coming days,” the university said in a statement.
