Keanu Reeves and Sandra Bullock are really ready for ‘Speed 3’
Good news for fans of “Speed.”
Keanu Reeves and Sandra Bullock, who starred in the 1994 hit, joined the conversation on the “50 MPH” podcast and addressed the possibility of a third film in the franchise.
“I mean, you know — we’re going to knock it out of the park,” Reeves said.
Bullock agreed, adding of their onscreen chemistry, “There’s no formula. It just is.”
“Before I die, before I leave this planet, I think me and Keanu need to do something in front of the camera,” he said. “Are we, you know, in wheelchairs or with walkers? Maybe. Are we riding the little scooters at Disneyland?”
The pair starred in “Speed” as Officers Jack Traven and Annie Porter on a bus that would explode if it dropped below a certain speed.
Bullock shared that she was “not the first choice” when it came to playing Annie in the romantic action film.
“I am not the second choice. I don’t think I am the third choice,” he said. “But I’m the choice, and I’m very excited and happy to be there. Some of the best moments of my life.”
He also starred in “Speed 2: Cruise Control” in 1997, opposite Jason Patric as Reeves did not appear in the sequel.
Reeves and Bullock reunited to star together in the 2006 romantic fantasy film “The Lake House.”
