Katy Perry’s mother was fooled by the singer’s AI image at the Met Gala

Katy Perry didn’t attend the Met Gala on Monday, but some of the singer’s fans — and even her mom — thought she did.

A photo of the singer seemingly taken at the event was circulated on X, but it was created through artificial intelligence (AI).

The fake photos include Perry dressed in a look that fits this year’s Met Gala garden theme.

Perry reposted a picture of the AI creation on his own Instagram.

“Couldn’t go to MET, had to work,” he wrote.

Perry also included a text from her mother, who complimented her on her dress.

His mother wrote, “Ha Feather! Didn’t know you went to the Met. Beautiful dress. You look like the Rose Parade, you’re your own float.

Perry wrote back, “lol mom AI got you too WATCH OUT!”

Perry has worn extravagant Met Gala looks in the past, including an appearance in 2019 when she dressed like a chandelier.
