Hezbollah claimed to have attacked military headquarters in northern Israel as Israel struck back
The Lebanese militant group Hezbollah said it attacked a military headquarters in northern Israel in response to the killing of one of its fighters on Tuesday.
In a statement Wednesday, the group said it targeted the headquarters with “guided missiles and attack drones.”
The Israel Defense Forces also confirmed that Hezbollah attacked northern Israel with drones on Wednesday.
At least 13 people were injured, including four seriously, according to Israel’s emergency services.
Later on Wednesday, the IDF said it struck back at a Hezbollah military base near Ayta ash Shab in southern Lebanon.
“A moment ago, IDF fighter jets attacked the Hezbollah military area in the Ayta ash Shab area in southern Lebanon where the terrorists operate,” the statement said.
